Go to My Documents> Euro Truck Simulator 2> profiles> choose your profile (usually a set of characters, not the name)> config.cfg. Open config.cfg notepad or any text program (except Microsoft Word)> find the line: uset g_use_speed_limiter "1" The value "1" at the end, change to "0". Save. Done! To return the truck speed limit - put back to 1. You can remove the speed limiter from the gameplay settings by unticking "Truck Speed Limiter": You need patch 1.4.1 or higher to use this setting. Also note that external jobs provided by World of Trucks force the speed limiter on regardless of your preferences. I'm guessing you guys misunderstood what the OP meant. In my car I can set a limiter at, say, 30mph around town. Cruise control is a bit scary in traffic. But with a speed limit set, I don't worry about getting a ticket. 1C2R.
